Our team here at NARS is getting excited for our upcoming three day Org Weekend this August 24th through 26th. We will be collaborating with Ford Motor Company to raise money on behalf of JDRF. For those who are unfamiliar with the group, JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is now the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners who share this goal.

The fundraiser will take place in the form of a charity kick ball tournament on Friday at Ford Field in downtown Detroit. Members from attending offices will team up to compete against one another for dominance of the sand! This is a great chance for us to come together and work as a team. We are honored to help support such a fine cause!

In addition to fundraising for JDRF, we will be enjoying a tour of Ford's Global Headquarters. This is a great opportunity to see a true industry leader in action. At the time of its incorporation, the Ford Motor Company was a small operation, composed of 10 man in a converted Detroit wagon factory. Flash forward 100 years, the Ford Motor Company is the second-largest producer of cars and trucks in the world.

To finish off the weekend, special guest Edsel Ford II will be delivering a speech. He is a 1981 graduate from the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and a current board member of the Ford Motor Company. He is a former COO for Ford’s Motor Credit Division and was elected to VP of Ford in 1993. He still remains active in many philanthropic endeavors. This is a excellent opportunity to learn from one of the giants of industry. We cannot wait to see what he has to say!

We're back from our National Conference in Atlanta, GA! Not only was it an amazing trip, but it was also an excellent chance to network and share innovations with other industry leaders. Our team from The NARS Group had an excellent time seeing the sights and enjoying the best restaurants downtown Atlanta has to offer! Everyone had an outstanding time and brought back tons of great ideas and concepts.

Guest speaker Anthony Robles delivered a deeply moving and inspirational speech about his life and achievements. His motivational words truly resonated with the crowd. If he can accomplish what he has despite his disability, there is certainly no excuse for the rest of us!

To top off the weekend, our very own Dana Saad was honored with the Owner's Pen Award at the event for outstanding sales and profit performance. Congratulations!

Anthony Robles Unstoppable BookThe NARS Group is gearing up for our National US Conference in Atlanta! We're both privileged and excited to announce that Anthony Robles will be our guest speaker for this event. A shining pillar of overcoming adversity, Anthony was born to an unwed, 16 year old mother. Making matters even more complicated, he was born missing his right leg. Determined not to let this hold him back, he began wrestling at age 14. Weighing in at only 90lbs, he finished in last place at his city wrestling tournament. Not one to be defeated, with the support and love of his family and coaches, he set the goal of becoming a champion wrestler. In spite of his obvious and varied obstacles he worked through the his challenges and finished his Jr and Sr year with a 96-0 record, 2 Arizona state championships, and one national title. Even with such an incredible background, few colleges believed he could excel at the next level. Ignoring the nay-sayers, Anthony believed he could do anything he set his mind to. He was a walk-on for the Arizona State Wrestling team. Anthony astounded his critics and finished as a 3 time All-American and with an NCAA national title. Anthony will he joining us to share his inspirational story, advice, and indomitable spirit. We can't wait to hear what has to say!

Watch a video of Anthony taking out the opposition here

"Every soul who comes to earth with a leg or two at birth must wrestle his opponents knowing its not what is, but what can be that measures worth. Make it hard, just make it possible and through pain, I wont complain. My spirit is unconquerable. Fearless I will face each foe for I know I am capable. I don't care whats probable, through blood sweat and tears I am unstoppable."
